How long does a made-to-order outfit really take?

Every Anaa Khan piece is made to order in Lahore. That is the heart of how we work, and it is also the question we hear most: how long will it take? The short answer is six to eight weeks, for orders in Pakistan and abroad. Here is what that time is made of.

Why we make every piece to order

Our embroidery is done by hand, motif by motif, before a garment ever takes shape. That kind of work cannot be rushed, and it cannot sit on a shelf in every size. So each piece is made after you order it, in your size, or to your own measurements if you choose Custom.

What happens after you order

In broad strokes, your order moves through these stages:

• Your size and details are confirmed with you.
• The fabric and embellishment materials for your piece are prepared.
• The hand embellishment is worked: resham, dabka, cutdana, sitara and moti, depending on the piece.
• The garment is cut, stitched and finished.
• Your piece is packed and sent to you by courier.

The hand embellishment is the longest part of the journey, which is why the most detailed pieces take their full time.

How delivery fits in

Once your piece is ready, courier delivery takes about four days within Pakistan. For international orders, such as the UK, USA and the Gulf, it takes two to three weeks. These times are already included in the six to eight weeks we quote, so you do not need to add them on.

How to plan around your event

Order as early as you can, and think of six to eight weeks as the time we need to do the work properly, not as a rush window. If your event is close, message us on WhatsApp before you order, so we can tell you honestly whether the date is realistic.

Sizing and custom measurements

Our pieces come in sizes XS to XL, and you can choose Custom to give us your own measurements. If you are unsure which to choose, book an appointment at the studio in New Garden Town, Lahore, or message us and we will help you decide.

How payment works

You can pay by bank transfer. Within Pakistan, cash on delivery is also available with a 50% advance. We confirm the details with you after you place your order.
